Faith Hinkley Veteran’s Memorial Park Fundraiser

On Saturday, July 27th the City of Monte Vista is hosting a very special fundraiser event for the Faith Hinkley Veteran’s Memorial Park. This one day event will be held in Chapman Park. The city is working with several organizations to help make this event a huge success.

The goal is to raise funds for the engraving and placement of memorial pavers at Faith Hinkley Veteran’s Memorial Park in Monte Vista. More information on purchasing a memorial paver is below.

Join us for a fun filled day at Chapman Park honoring all fallen service members & veterans across the San Luis Valley.

Memorial Pavers:

The Faith Hinkley Veteran’s Memorial Park Fundraiser, led by the City of Monte Vista, aims to honor veterans by completing the installation of memorial pavers initiated by the Monte Vista Community Fund. The project serves to pay tribute to all those who have served, or been killed in action, fostering community remembrance and gratitude. Vendor Information:

Craft vendors and food trucks interested in participating can click here to sign up for the event. 10×10 booth spaces are a mere $30 donation for craft vendors and $50 donation for food vendors . Non profit organizations with an information only booth may register for free. Set up begins at 7:30AM. The event will run from 10AM until 6PM. Tear down is from 6-7PM. Please note that electricity will not be provided in the park. All vendors need to register by July 20th to insure they have a space. The Poker Run:

A $20 donation to participate in the Poker Run includes your poker hand and a Car & Bike Show entry. Additional poker hands are available for $20 each. Registration opens at 8AM and the poker run will leave Chapman Park at 9AM.

Note that the Poker Run is open to ALL VEHICLES, including cars, trucks and motorcycles. If you show up and want to participate, you will be welcomed. The Poker Run leaves Chapman Park in Monte Vista at 9 AM. Click Here to sign up in advance for the The Poker Run, Car & Bike Show or both.

Car & Bike Show:

The Car and Motorcycle Show will take place in Chapman Park from 2PM until 6PM. All vehicles are welcome to participate in the Car & Bike Show. Participation is only a $20 donation to enter the Car & Bike Show. Click Here to sign up in advance for the Car & Bike Show.

Entertainment:

To kick off the live music, Marc Albion will be playing from Noon until 1:30PM.

Valley favorite band Ol’ Scratch will be playing from 2PM until 3:30PM. They’re a sinfully good 5 piece out of Southern Colorado with a passion for Funk, Blues, Rock and exploration.

And to wrap up the live music, the SLV Big Band will entertain everyone from 4PM until 5PM.

Hall’s Way Escape Room Adventures will be on site all day. If you’ve never tried their unique, exclusive to The Valley escape room, this will be your chance.

A cornhole tournament will take place starting at 11AM. Registration will be from from 10AM until 11AM.

Vendors may also drop off or mail their forms and pay with a check or cash at City Hall, 95 West First Ave in Monte Vista.
